Arizona Immigration Decision & Mexican Officials Patrolling Staten Island?

“The judge, however, twisted to concept of federal law into federal enforcement practices (or, as it happens, lack thereof). In effect, the court is saying that if the feds refuse to enforce the law the states can’t do it either because doing so would transgress the federal policy of non-enforcement … which is nuts.”

Read the entire article at Arizona Immigration Decision by Andy McCarthy (NRO).

That was my first impression, too. So, Arizona can’t enforce federal law already on the books, however it’s fine to allow Mexican agents to patrol Staten Island to protect Mexican nationals afraid to ask for help. Hmmm. Not condoning the violent attacks, but I do wonder if these Mexican nationals are even here legally. This violence must cease immediately as it opens the door to martial law and other evils.
