EPA-created CA Drought: Actor Paul Rodriguez Turns GOP

congress_dust_bowlActor and comedian Paul Rodriguez has announced his defection from the Democratic party because of the party’s refusal to help turn the water back on for drought-stricken farmers like himself in California who have had water denied to them by court order under the Endangered Species Act to save an endangered fish, the delta smelt. Crops are dying in the fields and 80,000 Californians out of work thanks to the liberal judge who turned the irrigation water off to supposedly save the delta smelt–a bait fish.

  1. Your statement is very misleading. The smelt is like the canary in the coal mine. We’re trying to save the ecosystem, the delta. Also, what about all the farmers in the delta? What about all the jobs lost in the salmon industry? The list of goes on! You state that 80,000 Californians jobs were lost. How many of those are actually California citizens. And, why are the farmers against having to meter their water use? It’s because they’re the biggest water wasters in the state. Why not require the farmers to install meters, and drip systems? Look at all the jobs that would create. There are ways to fix this problem, but as long as greedy agribiz millionaires have they’re way, it will never be fixed….
